Cosy Puffer Coats
The ultimate blend of warmth, style and practicality, these snuggly styles are a must-have in any coat collection.

A warm puffer jacket is an essential in any kids’ winter coat collection, and our newest designs come in every shape, colour and style imaginable. Shimmery metallics? Have a look at Billieblush and Stella McCartney Kids. Down padded? Moncler Enfant is the designer in the know. Or maybe you’re looking for two coats in one? "The great thing about a reversible puffer is that they can have two different looks and hopefully get more wear out of it as a result," says Sarah. "DKNY’s hooded puffer features bold branding on the cream side, ideal for weekend outings, and the rich blue reverse has subtle branding making it ideal for school" And for even more versatility, Kenzo Kids’ reversible coat also has detachable sleeves, doubling as a gilet as the seasons change.
"Puffers are like giant cosy marshmallows. The light and lofty down traps warm air to keep little ones nice and toasty."
When it comes to practicality, a puffer’s best feature is its insulation. You’ll find both natural and synthetic down in our collection, both of which are used to trap heat, while the quilted construction evenly distributes the padding around the body preventing any pesky cold spots. You’ll also find water-resistant and waterproof coatings, lightweight designs for those in-between seasons, and if that wasn’t enough, lots of our styles also include hoods and elasticated cuffs to lock in warmth.
All-Weather Coats
Don’t let bad weather dampen the day. Throw on a practical coat and they’ll be singing in the rain in no time.

If your kids are the outdoorsy type, and puddle-splashing is on the agenda, head to the all-weather rail in our coat room. Here you’ll find colourful coats and jackets made from a range of water-resistant, fully waterproof and wind-protective materials to keep little ones warm, dry and covered when the forecast is being temperamental. “I love to be outside with my children, whether we’re taking our dog for a walk or spending a day at the beach," says Sarah. "This two-tone Töastie jacket is ideal for outdoor pursuits. Fully waterproof with a fleecy lining and large hood, it will keep your kids warm in winter but can be used as a changing robe for beach days, thanks to its roomy fit.”
“Showerproof and with a cosy fleece lining, this pink Hatley coat will keep them warm and dry. It also changes colour in the rain. How fun!”
If you want to be sure that their coat will offer maximum dryness in a downpour, look out for our HH (Hydrostatic Head) waterproof ratings. The higher the number, the more protection the material offers, for example, this flower-power style from Frugi has a waterproof rating of 10,000HH, which means that a 10-metre column of water can be placed on the fabric without it leaking through. Isn’t that clever? Our collection also features hoods, taped seams and elasticated cuffs to provide extra protection from the elements. And then there’s the easy-to-clean and durable nature of these coats, ensuring long-lasting wear all season long.
Smart & Stylish Coats
With their pretty details and charming designs, these coats are made to be seen, worn and loved.

With the practical coats covered, we head over to a very special rail that has coats made for very special occasions. Here you’ll find premium fabrics like wool blends, tweed and velvet, not only providing much-needed warmth, but they look charming too. Perfect for those all-dressed-up moments, details like pretty collars and covered buttons will keep little ones looking their best while soft silky linings and tailored cuts mean they’re still comfortable enough to wear. “The velvet trims and double-breasted fastenings create such a classic look,” says Sarah, admiring Kidiwi’s grey coat with its blue velvet collar. “Also, it’s made from soft felted wool, which is not only warm but it also has a silky lining, keeping little boys comfortable on their special day.”
“Kidiwi’s grey coat is gorgeous, it reminds me of something Prince George would wear."
“And if you love the 1940s and 1950s like me, Lapin House's timeless red coat, which also comes in navy, is so reminiscent of those eras," says Sarah. "It has gorgeous fabric-covered buttons and a frill collar.” Other showstoppers on the rail include Patachou’s navy-blue coat with red piping detail and shiny gold buttons, and this fabulous white coat from Piccola Speranza, which is definitely one for a smart occasion thanks to its faux-fur collar, sparkly buttons and pleated skirt detailing — don’t worry, it’s machine washable too!
